Frequently Asked Questions
Ring Sizing:
-
If the ring is for you, I suggest visiting your local jeweller, who should be happy to measure your finger for you. Note that thicker bands feel smaller than thinner ones, so keep that in mind when measuring. If in doubt I am just an email away.
-
I work with European ring sizing, but if you only know your size in UK or US sizes I can covert that, no problem.
-
If the ring is a surprise and you don’t know the ring size, you can try and measure a ring you know they use (make sure it is for the same finger). Lay the ring down over a ruler and take a clear photo. If I know the inner diameter, I can work out the ring size. But I also offer one free resizing with any order.
-
I do one free resizing. If the ring is a design I have in stock, you can return it and I can always make a new one in the right size.
-
Most rings can be resized a few sizes up or down, no problem.
Remodelling, Customised and bespoke pieces:
-
The best way to start is to book an appointment with me. These are free of charge, no obligation meetings online or in my London studio. Fill in the form on my contact page. You can fill in as much or as little as you want. I will then get in touch and we either continue our conversation over email, phone call, Zoom meeting or you can come into the studio.
-
Any piece you see in my shop can be customised, whether it is changing the metal, the colour of the gemstones, the length of the necklace, or adding elements.
A bespoke piece is making something completely new and unique to you. It can be inspired by a piece in my collection or we can create a new design.
-
Bespoke pieces take an estimated 4-8 weeks depending on the design. If your idea is for a specific occasion and time is tight, I will always do my best to accommodate.
-
Showing design ideas to you can be done using metal examples, sketches on paper and/or digitally, to make it easier for you to visualise the final design.
-
I can work with most budgets. If you want a gold piece, but have a lower budget, I can use 14ct or 9ct and/or semi-precious gems instead of diamonds and precious gems. I mostly work in 18ct yellow gold, but can quote in 14ct and 9ct.
-
Once you are happy with a design, bespoke orders require a 50% deposit before work starts. When the jewellery is complete and you are happy, the remaining balance is paid before shipping or upon collection. This can be done via bank transfer, online link from the website or by card in person if you are collecting from the studio.
